posting a bit after the fact:
We hit the road in our packed caravan, not a bit of room to spare!
Crossing the border into Canada, we did have to stop for inspection though thankfully they did not chose to unpack the trailer, the last thing we wanted to do was pack it up again! They credited this to our professional appearance…not sure how professional green lantern is, but suppose he IS super!
Among the helpful advice we received from those who crossed our paths, contributing to anxiety dreams, was:
- Your hitch is going to fall off.
- That’s quite the load, that car can pull it?
- A branch is going to catch that tarp and it’ll all be over.
- You’re never going to make it.
I’m happy to report we made it just fine & look forward to doing the drive again someday (ideally while not towing all our belongings).
First stop was Vancouver, BC where we spent the day whale watching and touring around granville island. Much fun!
We then continued our journey north…first through the tremendously large British Columbia; taking in oodles of sites from the car window. Here are a few initial pics, someday perhaps I’ll get through the rest of the journey!
